NEPMo stands for National Epic Poetry Month. The goal is to write a 5000 line epic poem in a month. I completed that goal less than ten minutes ago.
As you can see, I was going by paragraphs, not lines. That was because lines included the blank space in between stanzas, and I didn’t think that was acceptable. I wanted 5000 lines of actual content, and not 798 lines of blank space!
798 lines of blank space. That is quite a lot. I didn’t really expect there to be that many spaces, but I suppose I didn’t know what to expect at all. Other than “5000 lines”, I had no other information – no average word and page count. Well, now I know, and now everyone else who reads this blog knows too!
By the way, I have three hours left until Camp NaNoWriMo starts.
