13 November

NaNoWriMo Target: 21,671

Words Written: 21,909

Wrote 2,053 words and finished chapter 8. Worked out a few things that were giving me trouble.

14 November

NaNoWriMo Target: 23,338

Words Written: 23,343

Wrote 1,434 words and finished chapter 9. I worked out the major thing that’s going to lead to the main conflict of the book, which is great! It was something I was worrying a lot about before.

15 November

NaNoWriMo Target: 25,005

Words Written: 25,031

Wrote 1,688 words, broke 25,000, and finished chapter 10! I’m coming up with more ways to generate conflict.

16 November

NaNoWriMo Target: 26,672

Words Written: 25,502

Wrote 471 words because…I had to drive around for nearly three hours straight today, and I was too mentally exhausted to write anything.

17 November

NaNoWriMo Target: 28,339

Words Written: 25,609

Only ended up writing 107 words. There’s no reason for this at all, other than I was feeling severely unmotivated. I really didn’t think the week two blues were going to hit at the end of week 3.

18 November

NaNoWriMo Target: 30,006

Words Written: 27,039

Had a much better day, and wrote 1,430. Finished chapter 11.

Overview

I just started chapter 12 last night, and only two of my perspective characters (there are three) have met each other. Let’s call them A, B, and C respectively. Initially, the idea was that A and C would never meet – their actions would affect each other (and that is what has happened) but now I’m thinking that they may end up meeting in the end. The very end. Well, I’ve still got time to figure it out.

How is everyone else’s writing going?
