Sometime in 2015 I came back to Apophysis to make more fractals. All of these had been exported – onto a transparent background as a png – but had never been “finished”. All that means is that I never put them onto black backgrounds.
I created more fractals in 2015 than the 12 listed here, but these are the ones I think are best.
I think it’s obvious by now that I like these bubbly, balloon-y ones.
Okay, this one is basically the same as one in the previous post. The stripes remind me of the light of the setting sun coming through blinds.
This one has circles AND squares.
The God of Algae, or something like that.
I really don’t have any words for this one.
It occurred to me that this actually looks like the effects of gravitational lensing…inside a bubble.
Is this what raves look like?
Pretty messy, but I do like pretty much every single one of these that ended up with stripy lights.
Some kind of album cover.
I don’t know what’s going on here, or how to describe it. Sure does look cool, though.
This one is so yellow that it actually reminds me of the color/art style of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
A swirl inside a bubble, with a bunch of other swirls.
